A large number of tire fires endanger adjacent houses Baotou fire emergency

At 4:29 on March 13, the Guyang Squadron of Baotou Fire Fighting in Inner Mongolia received a police report from the command center that the tires stored on the side of Alata Street and opposite Guyang Square caught fire. The situation was very urgent. After receiving the order, the squadron immediately dispatched two water tank fire engines and eight officers and soldiers to the scene.
After the fire officers and soldiers arrived at the scene, after investigation, they found that a large number of piled tires near the house caught fire. The fire was fierce, with strong black smoke, and spread rapidly, endangering the neighboring houses at any time. The situation was urgent. After a preliminary understanding of the situation, the squadron commander quickly issued operational orders: first, to guard and investigate the scene to ensure the entry of irrelevant personnel; second, to suppress and control the fire with water cannons; and third, to quickly put out DC water cannons to put out the fire. After 15 minutes, the open flame was controlled, and the combatants quickly put on air respirators to put out the fire at close range. At the same time, they used tools to clean and turn over the unburned tires. After about an hour of intense fighting, the fire was extinguished.
